Exams over! Let the Relaxing begin…or does it?

Exams are over……….lets actually get a good nights sleep………………….actually why not go out clubbing till 2am instead? If it sounds stupid, trust me you’re not the only one thinking it. In-fact if that sounds like a recipe for no sleep you’d be correct. All you’d need to do is throw in a girlfriend you haven’t seen for 3 weeks and you’d have the amount of sleep I have actually got in the last few days. If you are slow or stupid I’m alluding to the fact I feel like a zombie. Not the greatest way to start the new semester.
Talking of which, the new Uni semester starts today and I’m happy to announce the new modules seem to be based on the stuff I actually want to learn. It’d be the first time. Anyway a copy of my new timetable can be seen here. [insert pic}
As some of you may or may not know it was the season of exams for the last few weeks. In my opinion exams deserve their own special place in hell but this year they were particularly bad. Whoever thought to put 5 exams in a row needs a good clubbing. Just as a prediction I’d like to register my vote for a sub 5% mark for the Systems and Signals module as I don’t think I even answered more than that. That’s the result of sitting a maths paper when you have no concept of the maths and didn’t even do the maths module. I can’t help but think whoever put the course together didn’t think too hard about that decision. The rest of the exams are hovering around the pass mark so I guess all I can do is wait for the results to appear.
Anyway back to the fun things in life. As mentioned it was decided to go out clubbing at 5th avenue on the Friday so me and Lyd drank vodka red bull for a pound. Suffice to say it could have got messy but it actually remained classy with only a mild chance of throwing up and no significant fights which is a start. Anyway that was a really good night out despite the lack of much alcohol. Not that I really need beer to dance like a twat but it goes a long way to making you feel less guilty when you elbow a dwarf in the face on the dance floor. Damn small people!
Saturday was a day out shopping. After planning on heading out early me and Lyd actually left at about midday to go blitz the Arndale. First stop was the Carphone warehouse where I had to complain about my phone (the V3x), and try and get a new one or a replacement handset. Suffice to say I spent 30 minutes talking to a pleb before a manager got bored and decided to sort it out for me. I ended up with a Nokia 6280 instead which is an awesome phone and had only been out 24 hours when I got it. That’s cutting edge technology for you. Next was a laborious trip round all the other shops in Manchester that managed to sap all remaining life out of my legs. That being true ensured a quiet evening watching scrubs and catching up with Lyd eating the pizza we didn’t eat at lunch. Mmmmm pizza hut. Sunday I went to see Lyd’s granddad and grandma in Leyland between Manchester and Blackpool where I got treated to a home cooked meal. Didn’t stay long though and was soon back in Manchester waving Lyd off till I see her again in 2 weeks. Long distance’s suck! I want a teleporter!
I’m also looking forward to speaking to my parents tomorrow, as they were both skiing in Italy the last week and I bet they have a few stories to tell. Anyway I could write loads more but my eyes hurt and I still haven’t slept well in a few days so till next time.

New Mobile

Ok after 4 years of having the same number and mostly the same phone i have gone on contract with a new phone (V3x), and a new number to boot.

The site has also had loads of photos added recently including some from lamberts camera at new year. Hope your all having a great time back at uni etc. Hope to see all you people i left back in Notts sooner rather than later and those that are in Manchester i look forward to seeing you all again soon. Apart from that i’ll see you in the forums
